BBC Europe – Austrian far-right hopeful Hofer may back EU vote. Hofer has said he would push for a referendum on EU membership, if the EU became more centralised after Brexit. He told the BBC that while the 28-country bloc was important for Austria, he wanted a “better European Union”. Austria’s presidential vote re-run is on 4 December and the polls indicate the result is too close to call.
