Theresa May will tell EU leaders there is a shared responsibility to make Brexit work “smoothly” as she attempts to break the deadlock in negotiations. In a speech in Florence, the UK prime minister will say history will judge Brexit on the vision showed, not differences faced. The BBC understands she will propose a two-year transitional deal, after March 2019, ahead of a permanent trade deal.

The Crimea will become part of the “Russian Grids”

In the Crimea they are preparing a new energy reform. In the near future all power grids of the peninsula may be transferred to the federal “Russian Grids”. They will become the key shareholder of new JSC “Krymenergo” and receive up to RUB 9 billion from the budget for asset development in 2018-2020. This scheme creates a real risk for the “Russian Grids” to fall under Western sanctions. Difficulties in procurement of imported equipment can occur, which Rostec structures building a great generation on the peninsula have already faced.
